The World Language Advisory Committee has been meeting with parents and citizens at public presentations over the past six months to share its CD-ROM presentation and to learn first-hand what the perceptions and needs of language is in Oak Park.
On October 1st, the WLAC met with a group of citizens who are committed to strenghening language in Oak Park and will be helping the WLAC meet specific goals for 2007-2008. The 27 citizens are working in two groups – an internal group focusing on curruculum, research and resources; and an external group focusing on communications and parent relations.
